An annual conference on cultural development. Featured an interactive, hands-on workshop on building culture with do-it-yourself press.

Crystal and Spore organized a full conference zone with two complete days of programming in two simultaneous areas, including 14 workshops and presentations. Developed a map and four-part workshop tool, and presented a workshop on art, creativity and the applied imagination.

Co-created a conference area at a 15,000 person festival, including eight multimedia presentations and a full art gallery. Crystal and Spore presented on plants, technology and integrated culture.

RECON FESTIVAL 2003 (Elaho, BC) www.tribalharmonix.org
Co-produced a 500-person new culture gathering in the rainforest. Included a conference area featuring two days of five simultaneously-running outdoor classrooms with 44 different workshops, presentations and talks. Crystal and Spore did a multimedia presentation on community education and art culture.

This day-long conference on transpersonal psychology and consciousness studies featured a Crystal and Spore multimedia presentation on experiential education and the future of the human condition. In addition was a 32-person capacity workshop on language creation and poetics.

GALACTIVATION RETREAT 2004 (Mendocino, CA) www.frogwood.org
At this retreat center in the Redwoods, Crystal and Spore gave a presentation on digital technology and permaculture, as well as facilitating a day-long linguistic summit on creative expression.

INVISION FESTIVAL 2004 (Elphinstone, BC) www.invisionfestival.com
At this 600-person annual event, Crystal and Spore co-produced a conference area with 14 workshops and presentations, an art gallery and sound stage. Over 200 people attended the sunset main stage presentation on cultural creation, sustainable development and new technology.

BOOM FESTIVAL 2004 (Idhana Nova, Portugal) www.boomfestival.org
At this three-day, 20,000 person music festival, Crystal and Spore co-produced the Liminal Village. This featured an art gallery and all-night cinema, along with eight hours of workshop programming per day and four hours of presentations each evening. The gathering included a full multimedia environment and presentation by Crystal and Spore on global culture and holistic futurism.

A 400-person art culture conference in which Crystal and Spore came together as an eight person collective giving a multimedia presentation, including a number of integrated dance performances exploring the role of intentional art and design in the emerging culture.

Crystal and Spore presented an eight-person media environment featuring dynamic performance, presentation, video and sound design, exploring the themes of future culture and emergent technology.

IN:FLUX 2005 (Vancouver, BC) www.crystalandspore.com
An all-night multimedia event produced and curated by Crystal and Spore, featuring the participation of numerous Canadian artists, musicians, performers and dancers. A presentation component based around the concept of new cultural developments and media ecologies was shown before 200 people.

MINDSTATES CONFERENCE 2005 (San Francisco, CA) www.mindstates.org
Held at the Palace of Fine Arts, this 500-person conference brought seven Crystal and Spore members together to present on the state of global dance music culture. The presentation included custom sound design relating to the history of music, as well as integrated dance and performance elements.

INVISION FESTIVAL 2005 (Elphinstone, BC) www.invisionfestival.com
Co-producing this 600 person festival, Crystal and Spore members helped organize 3 days of music, performance and collective art creation. This included live painting, an art gallery with 16 artists showing original work and a workshop zone with 13 different presenters. The main stage Crystal and Spore presentation on future culture included a full array of sound, visuals, performance and spoken word.

At this 10,000 person music festival, Crystal and Spore did an eight-person, full-house presentation on permaculture, digital technology and creative culture.

SYNERGENESIS 2005 (San Francisco, BC) www.synergenesis.org
Crystal and Spore helped co-produce this annual art culture conference featuring a full gallery with 33 different artists, daytime workshops and evening presentations. The metamedia environment created by Crystal and Spore featured original, unreleased video footage, images, photographs, artwork, music and sound design mixed with intentional dance, performance and an interactive tool process.

AVATAR 2005 (New York, NYC) www.cosm.org
Held in Alex Grey's Chapel of Sacred Mirrors, Crystal and Spore co-produced this new media event, including an art panel and gallery featuring ten artists, integrated dance and music performance featuring a dozen performers, as well as DJs and musicians from all over North America. Crystal and Spore presented to a full house on integrated technology, living systems, ritual performance and new media systems.

For this 20,000+ person art culture lifestyles music festival, Crystal and Spore helped curate a gallery, cinema, permaculture demonstration garden and presentation zone featuring workshops from 18 countries, and international presenters on topics of future culture, sustainable living, shamanism, and prophesy. The gathering included 5 short multimedia introductions to the main presenters and a 5000 press new media magazine called 'Pathways'.
